Theatre experience? Well, there are so many ways of experiencing theatre. Every show ive seen, every clown ive met, every juggler is have been amazed by all add to my experience. If were talking about actual shows, here is a list of shows ive been involved in (as far as I can remember, I will add a few more when I remember them
In no particular order.
Nativity shows, (theyre the best performances of my life, everything else has been an attempt to match that qulity) - The Sheep. (see pick) - A star.

After a success at the national theatre, this show came back to cambridge for three days before going on the Edinbrough festival. And then eventually to Greece!

Cummunity education piece
- Ten minute improvisation focusing on social issues surrounding a family with a dissabled child.
- This piece was performed in front of 40 heads of department and local councillers, we were used as stimulous for discussion on the issues. We were asked back again this year:
Community education piece
- Written and directed by myeslf and myself and Charis Newman.
- This piece focused on domestic violence and was structured to include sexual, physical and mental abuse.
- The piece was a series of images and stories, once again, designed to stimulate discussion.
- The young actors worked brilliantly, bringing an honest and often forgotten perspective to very sensitive subject.
- The piece was so effective the team was asked to perform a second time to the congrigation that same day!
10 Local school workshop tour.
- Workshopping performance techniques and drama conventions in an attempt to open young peoples eyes to the world of theatre.
- The tour included a devised performance as a stimulous for the rest of the days events.

Gomitoproductions:
Two day workshop with Rosanna lowe at the Cambridge Drama centre, working with kids 4 -10. On 'The sneeches' including hours of interaction one on one and in groups with children. Great fun, and not at all tiring honestly!...
Tail of the ratking, 8 roles including death, evil minion and various other nasty guys... what are the guys trying to say?
'Are you coming to the Bazaar?!'-an original piece written by latecomers a new and exciting theatre company in Bottisham.
'Paint'-by bob newman.
'Take it or Leave it.' After a mixed audience reaction across the region the play comes home to cambridge.
The benifit of original pieces is that at every rehearsal the show changes, scenes are added and taken away, lines are edited and the play grows to suit the cast and stays fresh for everyone involved.
'Father'+ co director in 'The Hamlyn project' By Bob newman.
Co-tutor of bikeshed Performing arts. A regular class which meets in bottisham specialising in tutor-pupil interaction and experimental techniques.
'Charlie'-'A Fridge too Far' produced, written, directed and performed by Gomito. An original comic peice fresh from the insanity of Tail of the Rat king.
Next up! Billy Budd! A new play written by sean Lang. Based on the classic novel. Billy budd will be directed by gomito and performed in the new year at the Robinson theatre.
New writting projects and coming in thick and fast and the new year looks really exciting! Bring it on!! |
